General Questions:

Can I pick up before 2pm or drop off later than 11am?

The best way to guarantee early pick up or late drop off is to book an extra day. If your plans are flexible, you can check in with us 3 days before your pick-up date, and if there is availability, we will try to make it work! Fees may apply.

What is the cancellation policy?

You can cancel your trip up to two weeks before and get a partial refund of $100. You can also have the option to take a 100% credit for future travel, if you let us 2 weeks before. Any cancellation under 2 weeks notice, the deposit is non-refundable.

Are there any additional fees?
  • We charge a $60 cleaning fee for each rental.
  • 200 miles per day are included in the rental. Any additional miles will be charged at $0.35 per mile or you can purchase unlimited miles before your trip for $30 / day.
  • A $500 security deposit is required. We must make this charge via a credit card. This will cover any additional charges, or otherwise will be fully refunded upon the return of the vehicle.
  • If you want to get roadside assistance for your trip, we charge a one time $40 fee.
Do I need to purchase insurance?

It is very possible that your car insurance may cover your rental, but you must contact your provider and provide proof that they will cover our rental vehicle. Otherwise, you may purchase liability insurance for $21-$27 per day from our provider at check-in time. Supplemental liability is also offered for an additional $15 per day.

What’s the minimum number of days I need to rent a Campervan?
We require a 2-night minimum for rentals.
Can I add on days in the middle of my trip?
Contact us and we’ll do our best to try and accommodate.
What happens if I get a flat tire or a dead battery?
We offer Roadside Assistance Insurance for the entire length of your trip for just $40. Select Roadside assistance as an add-o at the time of booking, or you can purchase it at the time of pick up.
Can I park my personal vehicle in your lot during my trip?
Yes, there is parking, however, it is under your own risk, we do not have a garage.
Do I need to return the van with a full gas tank?
Yes, please! If you can’t, we’ll just charge you the normal pump rate, plus a $5 convenience charge.
Is there a pet fee?
Yes, there is a $100 additional cleaning fee for per furfriend.
What if I get in an accident during the trip?
First, contact the police and ensure everyone is ok. Next, contact Aclipse Campervans and we’ll work with you to handle the situation.
What if I’m late to drop off the van?
Our vans are frequently booked out, so we need to adhere to strict drop off times. If you’re an hour or more late, you will be subject to late charges.
What are the administration fees for a toll or infringement?
We’ll charge the toll plus a $5 convenience fee.
Are there any travel duration/destination restrictions?
You can travel anywhere in the US or Canada. We don’t allow travel to Mexico.
What is your roadside assistance policy?
We offer 24/7 roadside assistance for your entire trip for a $40 fee. Should something happen, contact the number on the card you’ll get before your trip, and they’ll take care of you!
Do you offer Campervan drop-off and pick-up? Airport pick-ups?

Yes, for a $100 fee we offer campervan delivery and pick-up within the I-275 loop in the greater Cincinnati area. We also offer CVG airport pickups and drop offs.

Do you offer one-ways?
Yes, we can make one ways work, but you will be charged a make up fee to get the campervan back to Cincinnati.
What are your hours of operation?
Monday-Thursday operates 9:00am – 4:00pm, Friday-Sunday by appointment only.

We’re always free to answer questions by phone or email during these hours, but we’re not always on site.

How old do I have to be to rent a Campervan?
21 years old.
Are there any travel restrictions?
Off-roading is not allowed in our vehicles. They are front wheel drive, not AWD. It’s ok to take our vans on well-maintained gravel roads, but please use your best judgment. Vehicle size and clearance and weather conditions should always be taken into consideration when driving on an unpaved road.


What are the different Campervan Models?
The Explorer is our bigger model, and it’s a stylish all equipped van. It sleeps 2 with a 5 inch memory foam queen mattress, and can sleep up to 3. It rides 4 people. With 2 seatbelts on the back bench. You’ll have everything you need to cook, store food, and enjoy outdoor life.

The Troop is built for four. Extra Large queen size bed on the inside, and a waterproof roof top tent for those who want a 360 degree view. Each seat has shoulder and lap belts so grab the kids, your friends, and get going! Equipped with all the camp cooking essentials, you can challenge each other for top chef. This low profile van is easy to drive and fits conveniently in an average parking spot.

The Scout is an efficient, easy to maneuver, park and drive, campervan. It’s perfect for two people that want simplicity and efficiency, with no extra stuff.  It seats and sleeps 2, gets awesome gas mileage, and still has a kitchen, stove, fridge, sink and a pull out table that makes the most of its compact space.

Can I come and check out a van before I rent one?

Yes, however, our campervans are rented most of the time, you can send us an email at hello@aclipsecampervans.com and we can schedule a tour when we have vans available at our location.

What comes with the Campervan?

We strive to provide everything you’ll need for your adventure. However, depending on the van, the inclusions differ, all vans come with the basics below: 

Propane & Kitchen Equipment. Including pots, pans, cups, bowls, cutlery, coffee-maker, dish soap, hand towel, and more. Bedding. A memory foam mattress with a full-sheet set, two pillows with cases, and a Rumpl camping blanket Camping Chairs & Table. Enjoy the weather outside the van! Ceiling Fan. High-powered, dual-direction fan to keep you cool during hot nights in the summer. Storage. Plenty of intuitive space available to keep your luggage and groceries hidden and safe.

Do your vans have toilets or showers?
No. But we have a portable toilet, privacy tent and a shower pump add-on. Most campsites will have restrooms, and many of the developed ones even have showers.

Do I need an RV site to camp?
No. Our vans are self-sufficient. We use solar energy to power them, and we don’t have a water or drainage system that needs to be hooked up.
